Stormwater kerb outlet cast into the gutter
Stormwater to the kerb on a commercial frontage: the same standard of finish as the civil work

Commercial plumbing from Monarch is three kinds of client, not every kind. Factories and warehouses in the Wetherill Park, Smithfield, Prestons and Moorebank industrial areas, where a burst water service under the hardstand or a blocked amenities block stops work. Strata and body corporate common property, where the job is as much the report as the repair. And builders and commercial fit-outs, where the rough-in, the fit-off and the certificates have to land on the program. Paul quotes it, does it himself with the same van, excavator and camera as the residential work, and schedules planned work after hours so the business keeps running.

Short answer

Monarch Civil & Plumbing does commercial plumbing across South West Sydney for factories and warehouses, strata and body corporate common property, and builders and commercial fit-outs: burst water services, amenities blocks, hot water, blocked drains, sewer and stormwater, maintenance call-outs, shared lines and risers, rough-in and fit-off with compliance certificates. Licensed and insured, account terms for regular clients, emergencies 24/7 at the same rate. Backflow and TMV testing are not offered; we refer those to a specialist.

Factories and warehouses

Wetherill Park, Smithfield, Prestons, Moorebank, Ingleburn and Minto. Burst water services under concrete hardstand, located and repaired with the least cutting and the slab reinstated. Amenities blocks: blocked toilets and urinals, hot water, taps and cisterns that get more use in a week than a house gets in a year. Stormwater and yard drainage on hardstand that floods the loading dock. Maintenance call-outs on a regular arrangement, and emergencies at any hour at the same rate. Planned work is scheduled after hours or on weekends so production is not interrupted.

Strata and body corporate common property

Shared sewer and stormwater lines, water risers and mains, common-area hot water, overflow relief gullies and the drains under the basement car park. Every job comes with a report that says which side of the lot boundary the fault sits on, with the camera footage, so the committee knows whether it is a common property cost or an owner's. Strata managers get the same arrangement as real estate agents: one number answered by the plumber, itemised invoices with photos, and account terms.

Builders and commercial fit-outs

Rough-in and fit-off for commercial fit-outs and new commercial builds, hydraulic services from the Sydney Water connection to the fixtures, gas lines and appliance connections by a licensed gas fitter, and the compliance certificates for the certifier. Paul works to the program, turns up when the builder needs him and not when it suits him, and has done the civil side too: the NBN pit and pipe work means he is used to inductions, SWMS, traffic control and working around other trades.

Sewer, stormwater and excavation on commercial sites

Our own Komatsu mini excavator and Grundomat boring tool mean the digging is not a subcontract. Cracked sewers under car parks, stormwater lines that have silted or collapsed under hardstand, new connections for an extension or a second tenancy, and trenchless bores under driveways and paths where a trench would close the site. The surface, whether concrete, asphalt, paving or turf, is reinstated as part of the job. See sewer and stormwater drainage.

What we do not do

Backflow prevention device testing and thermostatic mixing valve (TMV) testing are annual compliance tests done by accredited testers, and we do not offer them. If you need one, we will give you the name of someone who does. We do install and repair the plumbing around those devices and will tell you when a test is due.

Licences, insurance and paperwork

NSW licence 488158C for plumbing, drainage and gasfitting. Insured for plumbing and telecommunications work, with certificates of currency on request. White Card, confined space, locate and identify underground services, traffic control, first aid, and a Class B asbestos removal licence for the older sites where it turns up. SWMS supplied for every job that needs one, and site inductions attended.

How commercial work is billed

No call-out fee and no after-hours surcharge. Call-outs are quoted on inspection and worked to an authorised amount; planned work is quoted in writing. Purchase order numbers go on the invoice, every invoice is itemised with photos, and account terms are available once we have done a few jobs together. Our how we work page has the promises behind every job.

What customers say about Paul

Rated 5.0 from 28 Google reviews. These are word-for-word Google reviews from homeowners, property managers and trades across South West Sydney. Read every review.

I'm a carpenter and have worked alongside Monarch Civil & Plumbing on a number of jobs over the last 5 years. He's a fully licensed plumber and gas fitter, and his work is always neat, professional and completed to a high standard. He also came out numerous times and completed the NBN installation on a house I was doing the carpentry work on. Reliable, knowledgeable and easy to work with. He turns up when he says he will and takes pride in his work.

Highly recommend Paul for any plumbing work. He was professional, reliable and easy to deal with from start to finish. Paul arrived on time, explained everything clearly and got the job done quickly and properly. Great workmanship, fair pricing and excellent service. Will definitely be using Paul again for any future plumbing needs!

Commercial Plumbing: questions we get asked

Do you do backflow testing or TMV testing?

No. Those are annual compliance tests done by accredited testers. We install and repair the plumbing around the devices and can refer you to a tester.

Can you work after hours so the business keeps running?

Yes. Planned work is scheduled for evenings or weekends where the site needs it, at the same rate as weekdays.

Do you offer account terms?

Yes, for factories, strata managers and builders with regular work, once we have done a few jobs together. Purchase order numbers go on every invoice.

Do you supply SWMS and insurance certificates?

Yes. SWMS for every job that needs one, certificates of currency for plumbing and telecommunications insurance, and the licence details for the certifier.

Do you take on strata maintenance?

Yes. Common property drains, risers, hot water and gullies, with a report on each job that says whether the fault is common property or an owner's.

Do you charge a call-out fee?

No. Call-outs are quoted on inspection and worked to an authorised amount, and the rate is the same after hours.
