Ring for emergencies. For everything else, the form below gets a reply the same day. Send photos if you've got them, they save a trip.
What happens when you ring
- Paul answers. Not a call centre and not a message bank during the day. Tell him what is happening, where, and how long it has been going on.
- You get a straight answer on urgency. If it is a burst pipe, sewage backing up, a gas smell or no water, we come now, 24/7. If it can safely wait until morning, we will tell you, and you save yourself a night-time visit.
- You get a real arrival time. We are based in Austral and cover roughly 20 km around it, so most of Liverpool, Fairfield, Camden and Campbelltown is 15 to 25 minutes away. Same-day is normal for anything that is not an emergency.
- Price before we start. Paul inspects the job and quotes it on the spot. No call-out fee, no charge if you decide not to go ahead, and the rate is the same after hours and on weekends. Our guide to plumber call out fees explains how that works.
What to have ready
None of this is compulsory, but each one saves a trip or a phone call.
- Photos or a short video of the problem, sent by text, WhatsApp or the form above. A photo of the hot water system's label, the leaking tap or the water in the yard often means we arrive with the right part on the van.
- The address and how to get in: side gate, dog, tenant, key safe, building access.
- When it started and whether anything has already been tried.
- For property managers: the property address, the tenant's number, your job or PO number, and whether you need a quote first or approval to proceed up to a limit.
If it is an emergency right now
Ring first, then do these while we are on the way.
- Burst pipe or water running inside: turn the water off at the meter. The stop tap is usually at the front boundary, in a small box in the ground or on the wall near the meter; turn it clockwise until it stops. Our burst pipe guide covers it step by step.
- Sewage coming up in the shower, toilet or outside gully: stop using water in the house, keep kids and pets away from it, and don't flush.
- Smell of gas: don't flick switches or light anything, open doors and windows, turn the gas off at the meter if you can reach it safely, get everyone outside, and ring us. If the smell is strong or you can't find the source, ring the gas network emergency line on 131 909 as well.
- No hot water: check the switch on the switchboard and, for gas, whether the pilot is lit, before you ring. Our no hot water checklist covers the rest.
Quotes, invoices and payment
Every job is quoted on inspection and the price is confirmed before work starts. When there is more than one way to fix something, you get the options with a price on each. Invoices are itemised and come with photos of the work, including anything that is now buried. Compliance certificates are issued for every job that needs one. We take card on site, bank transfer and cash, and we offer account terms to real estate agents and builders.
Workmanship is guaranteed for as long as you own the property: if something we did fails, we come back and fix it at no charge. Parts carry the manufacturer's warranty.
Property managers and builders
One number that answers 24/7, a photo of the fault before any work, an itemised invoice after it, and water efficiency certificates so your landlords can charge tenants for water. We have looked after more than 100 rental properties for Demians Estate Agents since 2022 and can set up the same arrangement for your office. For builders, one contractor for the plumbing, the sewer and stormwater connections and the NBN lead-in, with our own excavator.
