Hot Water Liverpool: repaired today, replaced the same day where stock allows

No hot water? What to check before you ring

Hot water in Liverpool units

In a unit the hot water system usually lives in a cupboard or on the balcony, and a leaking tank finds the flat below before it finds you. We isolate it, drain it and replace it in the same footprint, with the tray and the relief drain run to where the strata plan expects them. Electric tanks are the common fit; where gas is in the building a continuous flow unit on the balcony wall frees the cupboard. What a replacement includes

Removal of the old unit, the new system on a compliant base or bracket, new valves, a tempering valve so the bathroom outlets stay at a safe temperature, pressure and leak testing, and the compliance certificate. Same day is usually possible for common electric and gas sizes; heat pumps sometimes need a day for supply.
